Our company can also provide house moving services. We will bid your house moving job if you own a house that you need relocated.
We move anywhere inside Harris County. If you are looking for a move job in another county please give us a call and we can direct you to whom you may want to call.
We will need the address of where the house is located now and the address of where it will be moved to.
House measurements always help. We need the size of the house to give a ROUGH, BALL PARK estimate over the phone. We will need the length, width and height of the house. If a house is taller than 15 feet from the bottom of the sill, where it sits on the blocks, to the peak of the roof; the house will be to tall to move and the roof will need to be cut. Houses with tall roofs, tall ceilings, rooms that stick out, chimneys, concrete porches, to name a few, are more expensive to move. Please consider this before purchasing a house from an individual to be moved.
Time frame: Also a very important factor. We are a busy company and with our work load plus the weather factor we are not always able to move your house with a short amount of notice. City permits are required and the electric company has to remove the meter from the house before we are allowed to move it from it's location. Sometimes if a house is occuppied it takes longer for the owners/renters to get packed and move out, this will push back the sewer disconnect process, inspections, light company meter removal, etc.,etc.
Also weather is an issue, if it is raining then the land where the house is and the land where the house is going will be wet. Our trucks are heavy and once you add the weight of the house there is no hope if the ground is wet, we will sink. Please consider the time of year and weather predictions when trying to get a house moved.
We normally ask for 45 days but longer if possible.
